About me
Outside of research, I’m passionate about making the world a better and more equitable place. I enjoy doing public outreach, and have given a talk at a local library and regularly visit a local high school to give physics demonstrations. I previously served as president of Rutgers University Minorities in Physics and Astronomy (RUMiPA) , a group that aims to advocate and provide community for underrepresented groups in the Rutgers physics department. I have also served as a member of the N-body shop Code of Conduct committee.
When I'm not working, I enjoy hanging out with my two cats (pictured below), painting (see a portrait of Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager), reading (especially Ursula K. Le Guin), running, and lifting weights.
